We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees at Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre (DCHC)!

DCHC Purpose: We offer holidays, opportunities, experiences and fun for children living in Derbyshire who are facing challenging circumstances. We boost their confidence, broaden their horizons and transform their lives forever.
Do you want to make a real difference? Could you spare some time to support a long-standing Derbyshire charity that has provided life-changing seaside holidays for children for over 130 years?
If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are particularly keen to widen the diversity of our board and would love to hear from people who:
Are committed to removing barriers for disadvantaged children
Have skills in graphic design, marketing, or bid writing
Can bring fresh thinking and ideas to help us grow
Are able to make decisions effectively and with integrity
Have previous experience as a charity trustee or governor (desirable but not essential)
What’s involved?
Attending 6 board meetings per year (held in Derby) Reviewing papers before meetings and contributing to discussions Responding to occasional emails from the CEO or Chairperson Taking an active interest in the charity and its mission Full recruitment checks, including a DBS check
